WAVE 2009

Whitewater area of Lida Polesna is going to be modernized.

Sport Club of Whitewater slalom kayaking Ceske Budejovice, organizer of Whitewater festival Wave, succeeded with a project of revitalization of the whole sport area. The project will be funded by European fonds and the City of Ceske Budejovice. Thanks to this project the slalom course will be modernized and many more areas will be improved, e.g. new play ground for children. Because of work execution the course will be closed from 2nd August 2010 and that's why Wave 2010 is not organized. If everything is going according to the plan, Wave 2011 will be the first event organized in the modernized area. Thank you for understanding and we are looking forward to meeting you in the new areal.

Wave festival is organised for people – racers, visitors,… We try to everyone knows, that it is prepared by people. But we seldom say what these people mean to us. They aren’t co-workers or colleagues, they’re our friends.
On 5th October Zdenka Husakova passed away. Plenty of you know her only as Chief judge, some of you know her by name and someone doesn’t know her at all. We knew her a lady, who was not frightened to fight with adversity. Lady, who was solving up problems with smile and also with her always good mood supporting everyone. Lady, who never gave up.

And that’s the way how we will remember her.

mayor of statutory city České Budějovice Mgr. Juraj Thoma
and mayor of the town Hluboká nad Vltavou Ing. Tomáš Jirsa
and is supported by the towns České Budějovice and Hluboká nad Vltavou.
